The hidden gems of Sydney don't get much better than this beautiful spot tucked away in the Royal National Park. We'll hike down (and back up after!) to explore and paddle together along some picturesque swimming holes on inflatable inner tubes. We'll meet near Sutherland station (only 32mins from Central) and carpool into the park so you can get public transport. Level: Beginner - Intermediate (approx 4-5kms hiking plus liloing. If you need time out from the city hustle, you'll love this trip - it's so peaceful to float and paddle down the creek on a lilo. Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park is beautiful and untouched, but still so convenient. The hike has a challenging climb back to the top but the distance is a touch shorter than most trips so it's still manageable. Middle Head looks right out to the Pacific Ocean which not only makes it full of spectacular views, it was also used for fortifications. It has all kinds of stuff to explore like gun emplacements, ammunition stores and tunnels (don't worry you don't have to go in if you don't want - I'm as claustrophobic as anyone...).
